Denver's 47th Annual St. Paddy's Day Parade Posted By Justin on March 16, 2009
Melody Deel from the Rocky Mountain FanForce in Denver sends us this update on the 47th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade that was held in Colorado over the weekend.
"I have some fun news from Denver, CO. Yesterday the Rocky Mountain FanForce, the Rebel Legion and the 501st marched in Denver's 47th Annual St. Patrick's day parade. This year's parade had a estimated 100,000 goers according to Denver Channel 7 News.
Along with a hand-built 12-passenger landspeeder and LUCASFILMS' X-wing, which is housed at the Wings Over the Rockies Museum, who sponsored the entry, we had quite a large turn out to represent the Star Wars universe.
I am including links to pictures and news articles of the event. We are currently seeking the television footage as well. I will send you more information as it becomes available.
On a personal note, it was great to see the faces of the kids and parade watchers as we passed by, they actually were lit with excitement and joy. We really had an amazing and fun time.
Special Thanks to ZOOfo-Dyas for all of her hard work organizing and helping put this thing together."
