This week, issue #2 of Dawn of the Jedi – Force Storm hits shelves. It's easy to spot, as it has 'Butch' the flying Rancor on the cover! The beginnings of the Jedi begin with a disturbance in the Force, as three of the young Je'dai investigate what is sure to be a galaxy-shattering event – a Force Storm! Fan favorites John Ostrander (appearing this weekend at Annapolis Comic Con in Maryland) and Jan Duursema will introduce you to the ancient masters of the Force. Also, if you missed issue #0 or issue #1 of this series, hurry to your local comic book shop today and pick up the 2nd printings of both issues, as these are bound to sell-out as well! Collector note: There is not an alternate cover for these issues. The printing will be listed on the indicia inside. These are the first Star Wars issues to receive a 2nd printing since the first three issues of Legacy!
Also on shelves is the next Star Wars Omnibus, "The Other Sons of Tatooine" which reprints a ton of material (chronologically) from the Classic Era, including: Empire 8-9, 12, 15-18, 23, 36-40, X-Wing Rogue Squadron ½ & Rebellion 0-5. This 440 page tome will set you back $24.99.
Also on the TPB front, is the collected edition of The Old Republic: The Lost Suns, which is the 3rd collected TOR volume. This series follows agent Theron Shan on a dangerous mission, which connects both to the MMORPG game as well as the upcoming Drew Karpyshyn novel. It retails for $18.99.
And, for the fans who live in the electronic realm, the digital comics available this week at digital.darkhorse.com include: Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi #2, Star Wars: Tales #10, Star Wars: Empire #25-28, & Star Wars: Legacy #33-36.
UPDATE: It appears that only Dawn of the Jedi #0 2nd printing is available today. Issue #1 2nd printing will be out next week.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
