Game Update 1.4 is previewed again at SWTOR.com through a new Developer Update from Austin Peckenpaugh. We've provided the intro below to give you an idea of what the post entails but make sure to click here for the full read.
"Hello again everyone. My name is Austin Peckenpaugh, and Iím a Senior Designer on Star Warsô: The Old Republicô. My job here is to create, maintain, and balance class gameplay in The Old Republic. As such, Iím here to shed some light on the upcoming changes to classes in Game Update 1.4 to give you all a sense of whatís to come and why itís coming.
For Game Update 1.4, we wanted to address several key issues with class gameplay usability and balance. Foremost among these are adjustments to crowd control and the Resolve system, the subsequent class changes made to harmonize with those control adjustments, and a reevaluation of stealth spec gameplay."
Moving along, Facebook fans of Star Wars: The Old Republic have voted in favor of the Party Jawa as a reward for veteran players when the MMO goes free-to-play this October. To be eligible, a player needs to have been an active subscriber as of August 1st, and of course, at the time when the game goes free-to-play. Click here for the full announcement.
Outside of SWTOR.com, we have a couple posts discussing the upcoming free-to-play shift. TGDaily.com asks if free-to-play can help save the struggling MMO, while Game Planet talks about the shift with BioWare's Executive Producer Jeff Hickman.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
