CE: The 501st Wants To Pay For Your Celebration Europe Day Pass!!!

Posted By Mike on June 17, 2007

Kenny M. of the UK Garrison of the 501st wrote to let us know of a sweet contest to win tickets to Star Wars: Celebration Europe...courtesy of the 501st of course. See below:

The 501st Legion (www.501st.com) is running a competition where 5 lucky winners will receive a one day family pass (maximum of 5 tickets per family) to the Star Wars: Celebration Europe show (13th-15th July this year). What do you have to do to win this fantastic prize? Just show the brave men and women of the Fighting 501st how good your artistic skills are! All you need to do is to send your Star Wars related artwork to the UK 501st Garrison’s Headquarters care of:

501st Celebration Europe Comp.
31 Greenhill Crescent
Watford Business Park
Watford
WD18 8YB
UK

Once we have received your entries, a panel of Star Wars art experts will judge the entries. The panel, headed up by Bonnie Burton (Star Wars Kids), will include Matt Busch and Tom Hodges, the two illustrators from the popular You Can Draw Star Wars book published by DK.

To give you some ideas; why not draw your favorite character from the Star Wars movies? Or if you’re particularly strong with the Force, why not try some of the projects from Star Wars Kids? (www.starwars.com/kids). Just remember that whatever you do, it needs to be something that you can send us easily in the post (please no more full sized Star Destroyer Models!). We will not be able to send your entries back (Lord Vader keeps everything you send!) so don’t send us anything you’d need or want back. But please remember to give us your name, address and age! Our bounty hunters are too busy preparing for Celebration Europe to be tracking you down!

The closing date for entries to be received will be the 6th of July, 2007 and we will announce the winners over at the Official Star Wars: Celebration Europe web site (www.celebrationeurope.com).

Good Luck! And we hope to see you all at the show!

Celebration Europe will be Europe’s largest Star Wars party, bringing the best of the Star Wars universe together at ExCeL London, July 13-15, 2007.

Fans from all over the world will gather to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the saga and get a glimpse of what the future holds for this amazing legacy that has shaped our popular culture. Celebration Europe promises to be one of the most memorable media events ever, a celebration of the entire Star Wars saga that proves Star Wars is forever.

Thanks to Kenny and a big thanks to the 501st Legion for all of their fun work, good work, imprtant work and hard work. This contest is yet another reason to love the 501st!
