Numerous Stars on-hand for Press Conference, 2008 Festival

It may only be January, but the stars are already coming out in Hoboken � for the Hoboken International Film Festival ("HIFF") that is, at a 1:00pm press conference on January 7 at Harbor Bar & Brasserie at the Sheraton Suites on the Hudson!

Legendary film star Billy Dee Williams (The Empire Strikes Back , Return of the Jedi, Batman, The Ladies Man) is receiving the 2008 Hoboken International Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award. Williams will be joined at the press conference (and at the 2008 HIFF Gala Awards Ceremony) by numerous film and TV stars, including many from his newest movie, iMurders. Some of the press conference attendees will include iMurders cast members: Gabrielle Anwar (Scent of a Woman, The Three Musketeers, Body Snatchers); William Forsythe ( Deuce Bigalow, The Devil's Rejects, The Rock, City By The Sea); Charles Durning (Tootsie, O Brother Where Art Thou?, Home for the Holidays, Dog Day Afternoon ); Margaret Colin (The Devil's Own, First Daughter, Independence Day); Tony Todd (Candy Man, Final Destination); Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Rent); Justin Deas (6-time Emmy winner, Guiding Light); Dan Grimaldi (The Sopranos) and Eileen Fulton (Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award Winner: As The World Turns). The movie also features up-and-comers Christie Botelho and Brooke Lewis.

iMurders, a cutting edge crime thriller, is being produced in association with HIFF and will make its worldwide premiere as the 2008 HIFF Opening Night Feature Film at a special location TBA. Festival chairman Kenneth Del Vecchio (a critically acclaimed filmmaker/best-selling author/attorney), whose two most recent movies are being distributed by Universal's Vivendi Visual Entertainment, serves as writer/producer for iMurders. Robbie Bryan, iMurders writer/director, and Jeff Quinlan, executive producer, will join the film's cast and producer at the press conference�which will be a break from the shooting of the movie (that will be occurring all day on the 7 th at Harbor Bar & Brasserie at the Sheraton Suites on the Hudson). In addition to Williams' award, Del Vecchio will make a number of other HIFF special announcements.

HIFF has been supported by several key partners and sponsors, including WCBS-TV, CD-101.9, Stella Artois, The Hudson Reporter Newspapers, TD BankNorth, Metro Homes, and several others. And there will be many more for 2008� Captain Anthony Falco, a movie producer and the Hoboken Film Liason added, "This festival joins together Hollywood star power and independent filmmakers from across the world, with a unique artistic culture that can only be found in Hoboken. It's a major hit!"

The 2007 HIFF Lifetime Achievement Award recipient was 2-time Academy Award/4-time Golden Globe/8-time Emmy winner and nominee, Charles Durning. Less than three months after Durning accepted his award at the HIFF Gala Awards Ceremony, the Screen Actors Guild announced that it was honoring Durning with the 2008 SAG Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be simulcast live on TBS and TNT on January 27. HIFF chairman, Kenneth Del Vecchio, will be at Durning's table, as his guest, on this special evening.
