Articles on the Episode II Charity Benefit Screenings

Helene tells us about the reference to the charity work Star Wars is doing in the SF Gate:
Anakin Skywalker is doing his bit for charity.
"Star Wars: Episode II -- The Attack of the Clones" will premiere May 12 in 11 cities to raise money for children's programs. At each premiere, some theater seats will be reserved for disadvantaged children.
"Throughout the years, "Star Wars' films have entertained generations of children," George Lucas, creator of the films, said in a statement on the movies' Web site. "I'm delighted that these premieres will provide an opportunity to benefit the children who need it the most."
And Phil was the first to point out a similar article on CNN where you could find another article:
The Force will first reappear for charity.
Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox have announced 11 sneak preview screenings of "Star Wars: Episode II -- Attack of the Clones" on May 12, four days before the wide release. Portions of the receipts will be donated to local children's charities, with some seats given to disadvantaged children.
You'll remember that TFN first broke this news back in December (here).
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
