Are We Getting Closer To a Real Life Lightsaber?

Friend of TFN, Brad A., sent us a story from the USA Today entitled, "Is this a real-life 'light saber?'" Seems as if Homeland Security has been studying their Sci-Fi as they have created a Light-Emitting Diode (LED). The new device actually looks more like a flashlight with a wide head that flashes. According to the article: "It's the latest government effort to develop a non-lethal weapon ? in this case, a powerful beam of light that temporarily blinds anyone who looks into it."
