Analysis of Digital Cinema Posted By Joshua on October 14, 2002
The EETUK has a new feature article on if digital cinema is really viable. Here's a clip of the introduction to the piece:
The close association between digital cinema and the Star Wars series has tended to ensure that, every two years or so, the technology gets seriously hyped.
George Lucas, the man behind the intergalactic money-making machine, is Hollywood's leading digital evangelist - not only as a director, but also as one of film's key suppliers through his ownership of special effects house Industrial Light and Magic.
But once the latest Jedi episode has left the big screen, the hype recedes quickly, and those charged with making commercial assessments of the technology tend to offer surprisingly cautious projections for its take-up.
In the first part of this two-part analysis on what many see as one of electronics most exciting - and, let's be honest, glamorous - new frontiers, we assess some of the reasons for that caution.

Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
