AOTC IMAX Tickets Cheaper at Theater Posted By Thomas on October 19, 2002
Tim chimes in from Dearborn, MI:
Friday morning I drove over to Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan, and parked about 10 minutes before 9am. There were two elderly people waiting to tour the museum outside the main entrance, but other than that there were no Star Wars fans in sight in line to purchase IMAX tix. A few minutes later there were a flock of school kids on a field trip to Greenfield Village, but they seemed to have no interest in the IMAX movie.
Doors opened at 9am, and at 9:01am I purchased the first two tickets for the 9pm showing on November 1 at HFGV IMAX. An emergency technician (fireman) came up in line about a minute after I purchased my tickets. We both were quite surprised that there was no huge line to get advance tix. And call me crazy, but in looking at the hfmgv.org web site, I thought presale and day-of sale tix for the "special" screening of AOTC IMAX was around $11.50. But now I see, if you get tickets at the box office, it costs you $10 per person, while ordering AOTC tix online is a little extra ($11.50).
This is a scan of what the IMAX AOTC looks like ...
Now the hard part -- getting to the IMAX theatre in time to get good seats. But being it an IMAX, any seat is a great seat. Two weeks and counting....
While ordering your tickets online will be a few dollars more, you'll guarantee yourself a seat for opening weekend. Thanks to Tim for the heads up.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
