3 New Fan Fiction Stories Posted By Britany on October 22, 2002
The Fan Fiction Archive updates with three new stories this week, each one about characters trying to resolve a troubled past.
"The Conversation" is set amid the actions of TPM. After his meeting with the Jedi Council, Qui-Gon ponders the dark side warrior he fought on Tatooine when he is given some advice by Master Dooku. In "Extreme Action" Ivva Japui, a survivor from Alderaan, considers her future while on a vacation to Cloud City when she sees a familiar face. In "Don't Look Back" Jaina Solo, troubled by her emotions following her brother's death, travels to Dagobah to face the dark side cave and her own dark feelings.
Summaries
The Conversation by Master Chbel: Qui-Gon takes a moment to reflect on events and is interrupted by his former master, Count Dooku.
Extreme Action by FernWithy: Alderaanian survivor Ivva Japui sees a princess on Bespin.
Don't Look Back by LadyElaine: Jaina Solo visits the tree cave on Dagobah.
"Master," Qui-Gon said with a smile as he turned. "It is good to see you again."
Dooku bowed his head. "It has been too long my friend. Much too long. But I see that nothing here has changed. Once again you have stirred up the council."
"And once again they ignore me," Qui-Gon retorted. "How can they be so naive?"
Dooku shrugged. "The ways of the council are deep and mysterious, even to me." He motioned toward the Coruscant sky traffic. "They like everything in neat, orderly patterns. It is one reason I chose to live elsewhere. The council was pleased with my decision, I am now only a minor annoyance." Read more here.
The Empire regrets that it was forced to take extreme action against the rebellious world of Alderaan.
The words, broken and static-filled, came across the holonet in Governor Tarkin's clipped, arrogant voice.
He'd been dead for three years now - only a matter of days after making that announcement - but Ivva Japui still heard those words, playing in the back of her mind in a constant feedback loop.
They'd held the funeral on Hapes with Han and Leia. It hadn't seemed right without Chewie - but Chewbacca was dead, too, another sacrifice to the galaxy's freedom. To the peace the alien invaders had toppled like a false god. Anakin's remains had disappeared in a shower of ethereal sparks when the funeral pyre had been lit.
"It can't be you! You're just a... a vision, like Uncle Luke had!"
"I'm still your little brother."
"But... but you can't be real!" She wondered, briefly, why she protested. It was Anakin's death that had closed everyone else off from her; since then, no one had really listened to her, or even tried to understand. But here he is, as real as life.
An impish gleam came into Anakin's eyes. "I'm as real as the Force." Read more here.

Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
