REQUIREMENTS

As with the casting of Jaina, the actor who plays Jacen Solo ideally needs to be able to pass for a teenager between 14 and 16. It would also help if he was a good actor who wasn't too famous.

EXPANDED UNIVERSE FACTS

Here are some Jacen Solo facts taken from the Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia:

• Born on Coruscant in 28 NE
• 5 minutes younger than twin sister Jaina
• Force is equally strong with him
• Has the special ability to communicate with animals
• Attends Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy on Yavin 4 at the age of 14
• Creates a lightsaber of emerald green while studying there
• Later trained with Luke (as Luke began moving the new Jedi Knights back to the pre-Empire style of teaching)
• Luke also trained Jacen's brother, Anakin, although both brothers had different ideas on what the future of the Jedi should be
• Jacen believes more in the spiritual aspects of the Force (Jacen and Anakin often fought verbally and with lightsabers, both claiming their intense sessions were simply training)
