The Baltimore Symohony Orchestra will be presenting a Sci-Fi Spectacular at the Strathmore in Bethesda, MD on Thursday, January 17th. Starting at 8:00 pm, the performance will include pieces from Star Wars, E.T. and Superman with a laser light show. Narrating the show will be George Takei of Star Trek.
UPDATE: Friend of TFN, Alex B. from Baltimore, sent in the following after having attended the BSO event...
"This past weekend (1/17-1/20) the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra put on their Sci-Fi Spectacular show with music from various Sci-Fi movies. The bookend music to the program was dedicated to Star Wars. The show opened up with the main Star Wars theme and then closed with Duel of the Fates and the Throne Room / End Credits music from a New Hope. Also in attendance were members of the 501st and they were very kind and nice in taking pictures with anyone that asked. At the end of the performance the entire 501st posed for a large group photo for everyone."
