Droid-Life.com reports that Verizon will be launching an exclusive The Empire Strikes Back Android app for their customers starting on Monday, October 4th. The source post says that the app will be priced at $2.99 and will include sounds, live wallpapers, photos, trivia, and widgets. While it seems as if the application was expected, the October 4th date is new information and was confirmed to Droid-Life.com by "sources." File this in the rumor bin for now but considering we're only a couple days away from the fourth, we'll know soon enough. Either way, if you already picked up a new R2-D2 Droid 2, you most likely already have what's in the new Android app.
