Lucas And Lanter Interviews

A couple of Clone Wars related interviews have popped up online...

First, click here for an interview with George Lucas at the Times Online as he talks The Clone Wars and more. (Thanks Leslie A.K.A "LAJ_FETT")

Secondly,click here for an interview with Matt Lanter at sknr.net. Just in case you didn't know, Matt will be voicing Anakin in The Clone Wars. See the excerpt with Matt below: (Thanks Gareth!)

GVK: You will be voicing Anakin Skywalker in the new Star Wars movie and television series, what can you tell the readers about what they can look forward to and how you got the part?

ML: I did an audition and it was very generic. I was told the character was called Starkiller and that he was a mix of a Han Solo and Luke Skywalker type. I did the audition and got the part and only then did I learn that it was for Star Wars and Anakin.

This will be a very different Anakin than fans are used to as this is before he really started the dark spiral that was in the films. He is much more of a leader and hero in the film as well as a mentor and friend. He is a very likeable individual and I think the audience will see him in a new light, which is what George Lucas wanted , a tragic fall of a true hero.

The animation looks great, I am not sure how long the series will go, but we will see shades of Anakin?s dark side as we go along.
