Posted By Carol on January 1, 2008

Jedis and lightsabres await you at the New Year's Eve Pops Concert. The audience will be dazzled as the Lima Symphony Orchestra takes the stage to perform the principal music from all six feature films in the Star Wars Saga. Visiting Star Wars characters in authentic Lucasfilm costume will greet you in the lobby and a light sabre fight will take place right on the Crouse Performance Hall stage in dowtown Lima, Ohio.

Tickets for the event are $20.00 for Adults and $10.00 for Children.

The Lima Symphony Orchestra will raffle off a Sideshow Collectibles Yoda bust the night of the concert. Valued at $500.00 this collectors piece is a must have on all Star Wars lovers' lists. Tickets are $1.00 a piece or 6 for $5.00. You may purchase them at the Lima Symphony office or in the lobby the night of the concert.

UPDATE: Not only was "Darth_Thomas" lucky enough to attend the Lima Symphony performance, but he was nice enough to send his report as well.

"I went to the New Years Eve tribute to Star Wars with the Lima Symphony Orchestra in Lima, Ohio last night. All I can say is that it was a blast. The music was terrific as was the atmosphere. The 501st Legion and the Rebel Legion out of Columbus was on hand to take pictures with the crowd of young and old fans alike. Also they preformed onstage with the symphony during the concert creating lightsaber duels and scenes from the movies. It was a great way to ring in the new year. May the Force Be With You All in 2008!!

Enclosed are a few pics of me with the 501st and of the symphony."

Thanks "Darth_Thomas!"
