Just wanted to share that this week's Entertainment Weekly (with Christian Bale, Batman on the front) reports that special effects whiz Donald Edmund Trumbull died of natural causes in Graegle, California on June 7. Trumbull was a two-time winner of the Academy's Sci-Tech Award who worked on movies such as the original Star Wars, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and the Wizard of Oz. He was 95. He will be missed.
