Tonight, at the end of PROMISED LAND on CBS, they showed the preview of next week's episode. Indeed, it will be the episode featuring guest star Billy Dee Williams as a respected photographer who dropped out of society when he began suffering with schizophrenia. The episode will air next Thursday,May 13 at 8/7pm on CBS.

I have been a crew member on PROMISED LAND for all three seasons of the series. Mr. Williams was very gracious and personable. There aren't alot of hard-core STAR WARS fans on the crew, but everyone was pleased to have him as a guest (Many are fond of his work outside of the STAR WARS movies,of course). Also, our teenage cast members were pretty excited because they ARE fans of STAR WARS.

If you ever want to know whether a celebrity is truly a nice person, ask the people who do make-up, hair and wardrobe work with that celebrity. Needless to say, Billy Dee Williams passed their evaluations with flying colors. He signed several autographs for interested crew members, although I should mention that most crew members avoid asking for autographs .

The autographs he signed were all personalized. For a few crew members, he autographed some Lando action figures which were still in their packaging. He autographed the paper sleeve of one of my EMPIRE STRIKES BACK laserdiscs for me. Just about every autograph he signed was "To [fill in the blank], May the Force Be With You, Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian)." Very cool!
