Wayne of Red Stick Rebellion passed along the following info for those living in the Baton Rouge area who'd like to support a worthy cause...

"Just wanted to let you know that we?re going to be having the second day of our Fourth Annual Toy Drive this Saturday (11/27) from 10am ? 4pm at the Walmart on O?Neal in Baton Rouge. On the first day (on 11/6) we got almost 150 items and we?re excited about the next event...Everything donated this year will be going to Cancer Services of Baton Rouge and we?ll be there to help them distribute it to the kids on 12/5."

UPDATE: Wayne, who provided the above news regarding Red Stick Rebellion's toy drive last weekend in Baton Rouge, sent over the following update...

"Thanks for posting the information about the toy drive on TheForce.net. I just wanted to let you guys know how everything went - we had an incredible turn out! We collected almost 200 items today alone - one family who even donated an entire shopping cart of items! That combined with the number of items from the first toy drive puts us at a grand total of 345 items collected this year - an amazing number! Thanks again, we had a few people mention that they saw the news item and that?s why they came."

No. No. The thanks goes out to Wayne and his Star Wars-loving friends for helping to organize a benefit for a worthy cause. We type some words and post some links, but you all did some good last weekend and we salute you.
