Join the Charlotte Fan Force at the Beatties Ford Road Library (2412 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, NC) on Saturday, August 11th for a special day looking beyond the horizon into the world of Science Fiction.

We'll begin at 11:00 a.m. with a special storytime featuring the book "What is a Wookiee?" and continue on with board games, video games, movie viewings, collection exhibits and characters from various movie and television shows such as Star Wars and Star Trek. So come read with a Klingon or challenge a Storm Trooper to monopoly!

The Charlotte Fan Force is a not-for-profit club comprised of individuals who enjoy the Star Wars films and other aspects of the Star Wars franchise. Our club was created in order to give Star Wars fans in the Greater Charlotte Area a chance to socialize and engage in activities relating to the varied aspects of the Star Wars franchise. We strive to keep Star Wars alive in the eyes of the Charlotte community, and endeavor to give back to the community through charitable events. The Charlotte Fan Force is the officially recognized Fan Force chapter for Charlotte and is part of FanForce.net – an international Star Wars club organization.

We will be joined on August 11th by the Klingon Assault Group and the Carolina Garrison of the 501st.
