SW Night With The Port Huron Fighting Falcons

Our friend, 501st member John Leopold, is keeping us apprised of yet another Star Wars Night coming to Michigan's Port Huron Fighting Falcons hockey team...

"Once again, the Port Huron Fighting Falcons hockey team will be wearing special Star Wars themed hockey jerseys for their Star Wars Night on October 22, 2011. This year�s jersey features the mighty Wookiee Chewbacca, with Rebel Alliance logos on the shoulders, and Millennium Falcon silhouettes around the waist. Also seen on the jerseys are pink ribbons, as proceeds from the game day auction will benefit Breast Cancer Awareness at Mercy Hospital (St. Joseph Mercy Hospital's Pink Ribbon Fund) in Port Huron.

Fans will get to meet Chewbacca, along with 15-20 other characters from the 501st and Rebel Legions. The action goes into hyperspeed as the Fighting Falcons take on the Jamestown Ironmen at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00.

Tickets for Star Wars Night and all Port Huron home games are available at the McMorran Arena box office, all Ticketmaster locations and www.ticketmaster.com. For more information call 810-966-3800.

This is the 4th consecutive year a Port Huron hockey team was worn special Star Wars jerseys for charity. Previous jerseys showcased Darth Maul, Boba Fett, and Darth Vader. The jerseys are once again designed by Great Lakes Garrison member Scott �Crow� Withers TK-1491."
