Kansas City FanForce

The Kansas City FanForce, Heart of the Alliance, has been invited to participate in a very special event with Mid-Continent Public Libraries to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars. On three days in October, members of the fan force will be presenting a special program at three branches, including:
* Reading Star Wars stories to the kids
* Talking about the many books, comics, and other materials based on Star Wars that are at the local library and book store
* Doing star wars themed crafts with the kids, including foam lightsabers
* Having Star Wars themed snacks (wookie cookies, bantha poodoo, and blue milk)
* Appearances from Star Wars characters

The dates will be Monday, October 1 at 7 PM at Oak Grove Mid Continent Public Library, Saturday, October 20, at 2PM at Lee's Summit Colburn Rd. Branch, and Saturday, October 27 at 2 PM at Boardwalk (KC North) Mid Continent Public Library. See their thread here for more information.
