Star Wars fans in the Denver, CO area won't want to miss Star Wars at the Hangar this Saturday at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum:
For the third year, Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum, in conjunction with the X-Wing Project, the Rocky Mountain FanForce, and the 501st and Rebel Legions, will be hosting a May the Fourth event called Star Wars at the Hangar. From a meager start with the first year?s event, which included a screening of ?Star Wars: The Clone Wars,? and appearances by renowned Star Wars authors Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta, the event has grown to include more than two thousand attendees. This year the event is threatening to break three thousand with the addition of the Mandolorian Mercs, Civil Air Patrol Cadets, a group of food trucks to feed the attendees and volunteers, a fan film room, Green Screen Adventures with the help of Andrew Latimore and Red Rocks Community College, and joined by the fantastic people at Comic Book Classroom and Denver Comic Con. Along with free foamsabers for kids twelve and under, there will be an Ewok nursery for the little kids to make their own fuzzy little beasts to take home. And for the older kids there will be the Admiral Sackbar puppets, originally created by Bonnie Burton. Along with the only the chance for anyone to sit inside the Lucasfilm ? Scale X-Wing, there will be many photo ops, and the always popular, Blast-A-Trooper will make this the can?t miss event of the year.
