One Man Star Wars Show and Charity Food Drive in Charlotte, NC

Charlotte, North Carolina?s McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square (part of the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center) will play host to Charles Ross?s critically acclaimed show -- One Man Star Wars on Saturday, February at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
"Off-the-wall fun!" ? Chicago Tribune It?s a one-hour, high energy, nonstop blast through the first three Star Wars films. The catch is, there's only one cast member. Charles Ross, the writer and solo performer of One Man Star Wars, spent too much of his childhood in a galaxy far, far away ? and adulthood has been similar. Ross plays all the characters, recreates the effects, sings the music, flies the ships and fights both sides of the battles. Spin Magazine describes the show as a "hyperactive distillation of George Lucas? sci-fi films... the result is a half homage, half satire." Don?t miss this wildly amusing ride!
Along with this highly entertaining show the Charlotte Fan Force will be hosting a food drive to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. For a donation of either a can of food or a $1 guests at the event will be able to have their picture taken with Star Wars characters provided by the Charlotte Fan Force and the Carolina Garrison of the 501st..
