Planet TR-57

Posted By Mike on April 4, 2009

Jon Griffith of Valley Video Services sent over the following information on their new fan-made web series titled, Planet TR-57. See below...

"We have currently released the pilot, and are in production on 10 episodes.

Pilot Episode Synopsis: There’s a reason why Planet TR-57 is the galactic dumping ground for Clone Troopers who don’t quite fit in.

Background: This pilot episode was the proof-of-concept for the series, and its success has inspired us to push forward with the full-fledged webseries. Our first experiment with stop-motion and green screen, the pilot episode taught us the economy of movement and the value of a well-lit set. The pilot features a MOC (My Own Creation) by Chris Wunz of the Clone Wars-era Republic Heavy Cannon. The cannon has a working worm-gear which allowed us to easily animate the cannon movements in the short.

“Planet TR-57: Pilot” Premiered at Brick Fest in Portland, Oregon on Friday, March 27, 2009.
