A Great Disturbance

Posted By Dustin on October 23, 2006

I've just watched a new documentary which take a tongue in cheek approach to following five individual Star Wars fans as they each tackle Celebration III in their own special way. I've got to say this is by far one of the most entertaining pieces of film I've seen come out of the convention held close to two years ago. It's available right now online for only $10 + S&H, and I HIGHLY reccommend this to any and all Star Wars fans! Here's some more info about the project.

*Benjamin Shull*, *Andy Davis*, *Budd Shaffer*, *Chris Preksta*, *Aaron Kleiber*, and *Jeff Brancolini* are a group of lifelong friends who have shared several interests since meeting each other several years ago. Two such influences include filmmaking and a common love of Star Wars.

Utilizing these interests as well as incorporating a heavy influence from shows like /The Office /and /Curb Your Enthusiasm/, this group of friends decided to produce, write, film, and even act in their own mockumentary about the different facets of Star Wars fans. They each donned an extremely unique persona and interacted with fans, wookies, and even each other all in character to achieve the awkward yet realistic approach in this vein of comedic storytelling.
