a word from the director

A Word from Rick Pour & Rick Stough
Producers of "SINS OF THE JEDI"

First of all, we’d like to thank all of you out there that have waited patiently for this release. Believe us, it has been one heck of rollercoaster ride to get this fan film done. For those of you who do not know any of the background of Sins of the Jedi, here it is:

Sins of the Jedi was originally conceptualized as a ten-minute fan film. Once we began production it took on a life of it’s own. It grew into what will eventually be a series of short stories, or a serial, much like the “cliffhangers” that inspired a young George Lucas to create Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Once all of the episodes are released, Sins of the Jedi will be able to be viewed as one long movie.

Now, for those of you wondering-“What took so long?”

Well... many of us involved with this project hold jobs in the film industry in Wilmington, NC. Shooting the movie was probably one of the smoothest shoots you can imagine. It truly is a testament to the talented folks working in the industry here.

Where we ran into problems was post-production. We had several people that offered their help throughout post-production. Unfortunately, many were unable to follow through due to varied reasons. (No hard Feelings!) We thank you for your offers.

At this point, we would like to highlight the contributions of a few key individuals that stepped up to the bat and helped us get the movie to a “presentable” state. First of all there is Associate Producer and Actor Shaun O’Rourke. He went above and beyond to keep the project alive and kept it inching forward in the post-production stages. Next is Nick Schmidt, who did a wonderful job of fine-tuning the rough cut to a final edit. Next is John Pittman and Rich Gehron who did their best to get the movie ready for an early screening at a local film fest. Finally, we’d like to thank Will Wagner and Matt Stewart. These guys gave us the CG shot we so desperately needed to release this version of Episode 1.

This version is still not the complete version of Episode 1. We have a whole lot more planned for this episode, so I guess we’ll have to follow Mr. Lucas’ lead and re-release a “Special Edition” eventually. But not until the rest of the episodes are on TheForce.net.

Again, thanks for your patience and enjoy. You ain’t seen nothing yet!
