a word from the director

This film was a tasking venture to say the least, but also a fun and enjoyable experience!

When I first mentioned the idea of a Jason fan film, my oldest daughter suggested that a few of her friends might be interested in being in the film. What? Cast members other than my immediate family? "More victims for Jason!"

I immediately hashed out a storyline and scouted for filming locations. I was able to obtain permission to film at a camp two hours from my home, but only for one day. This was going to be tough!

Two weeks later, the day of filming at the camp came. I rented a van and my family and I, along with the teenagers, took the two hour drive to the camp site. And of course, obstacles presented themselves from the moment we arrived. Campers were in the area we were to film at and we had a sudden heat wave which made filming a bit unbearable at times. The day was long and exhausting but we were able to film what we needed. To my own delight, the teenagers gladly accepted a pizza and pop dinner as payment! After several more weeks of filming in front of a green screen and in secluded areas of the local park, all of the needed footage was there.

My good friend, Allen Hood, expressed interest in the film and I immediately brought him onboard as an editor after viewing a film he had finished himself. Allen did an excellent job and really brought the film to life!

Considering this film was made on a budget of only $100, I am very pleased with the finished product. With that being said, I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed working on it.
