Director of "THAT PREQUEL MOVIE"

It seemed like such a shame. Episodes IV-VI have been parodied again and again and again, but Episode I, which in my opinion, had the most to make fun of, seems to have been neglected by parodists. And so, I present to you, That Prequel Movie, a sequence-by-sequence parody of The Phantom Menace.

I can't claim too much credit for the idea. The script's conception dates back to a thread at TFN Discussion Forums entitled, "The Official Phantom Menace Satire Thread". I read the first few posts, laughed, then added my own addition. Before long, more funny ideas were coming to me and I kept going back to the thread, adding more and more posts until (with the help of a few others) we had written a spoof of the entire movie. I looked back at what we had created and decided, yes, it was just a silly internet thread, but perhaps I was onto something.

Amid the silly quibbles and jokes of these die-hard fans was potential for a really funny script. Others on the message boards loved the idea, so I went ahead and wrote the script to That Prequel Movie over the next month. That turned out to be the easy part.

Anyway, I hope that all of you, even those of you not familiar enough with the movies to catch all the references, will enjoy this film and have a good laugh.
