Orange Ballast = Blue Harvest

Posted By Joshua on January 16, 2001

BYOB_Kenobi makes a fantastic observation about a possible set around the set of Episode II. After listening to the fake interview with a crew person of SW2 we posted on Sunday, there was one most interesting caller. Perhaps they were authentic?

A person supposedly doing a documentary about Episode II called in and said if the guy was legit he would recognize the phrase "Orange Ballast" from the production of the movie. The caller was stunned and it has become one of the most intriguing sequences of the controversial show.

The phrase "Orange Ballast" brings to mind "Blue Harvest." There is a pattern between them on multiple levels. The first word in both phrases is a color; the second word is seven letters long and ends in "st."

Could it have been a 'real' fake title for Episode II? Some kind of an in-joke? Either way it's pretty clever, and worth a moment evaluating. However, don't put too much stock in the show or be upset if you missed it, though it is sure to join the fuzzy footage rumors and become an urban legend for Star Wars for generations to come.

In an email to TFN yesterday Tom, the host of the show, said that 'a huge amount of people hit the www.wfmu.org site and have nearly crashed it.' He also said that the file of the interview 'has to be taken down temporarily. It'll go back up soon, after things calm down.' We persued him further as to his validation for his guests identity, but there was no response at the time of this post.
