Just thought I'd let you know that Joel Edgerton was on Melbourne radio this morning (Tue 12th March 11.30am) promoting his TV series "The Secret Life of us" and his Star Wars role.

He briefly spoke about his costume regarding it as "Tatooine Hession" and how he would have loved to have wielded a light sabre, but still enjoyed his role as Uncle Owen.

UPDATE
Australianjedi1 following up on interview with Joel Edgerton (Owen Lars) on Rove Live. For the first half of the interview, they talked about Edgerton's soap 'The Secret Life of Us' Then Edgerton mentioned that he would be leaving the show for a while to promote ATOC. He also mentioned that he grew up watching the original trilogy and was stoked about meeting George Lucas.

After that they talked about action figures and when Rove asked if there was to be a new Owen toy, Ederton said he wasn't sure but they did scan his body. At the end Rove asked if Jar Jar was in it much. Edgerton replied no leaving Rove relieved.

Also in other news, The Official merchandise release date for Australia will be April 23 according to Big W, the major shopping chain for Oz!
