This weekend, Darin, Terrence and I (Scott) had fun at the Sci Fi Expo in Dallas. Femi (Oola) Taylor, Marie (Greedo) D'Aragon, and Caroline (Mon Mothma) Blakiston were there. Great ladies! You'll definitely want to meet with them.

Anyway, to some news. One of the team members here noticed a "Benedict Taylor" on the Official Site's cast list. They wondered "Is that possibly Femi Taylor's brother?" After all, her brother talked to Rick McCallum on the set of Young Indiana Jones and got her back to play Oola in the Special Edition. So the question was "Is it the same guy?" While getting my autographs from Mon Mothma, I asked Femi what her brother's name was. She replied (to the best of my memory, so please forgive me if it's off):

"His name is Benedict!"
"Oh! So he's in Episode 1, right? We saw his name on the Official Site."
"Yes, he plays one of the pilots! It's only a small part, but you should be able to see him. He has a fair complexion, blonde hair and blue eyes."

Now if you haven't met Femi, she's a beautiful black woman with a skin tone that is very dark. How did her brother have blonde hair and a light complexion? After a short pause I asked, "Now how exactly does that work?" She replied, "I'm adopted!" Oh! That explained it. Caroline Blakiston mentioned that she used to act with Femi's mother! Small world!

So that leads us to our report title. Now we have Denis (Wedge) Lawson's nephew in the prequel as young Obi-Wan, Mark Hmaill's son in it as an extra, and Femi (Oola) Taylor's brother in it as a pilot. Cool! Sounds like a family project. :) I did not press Femi for any more details, but I would ASSUME that Benedict plays a Naboo pilot as Ralph Brown does (Ric Olie). Anyway, that's all for now. MTFBWY!
