Steel City Con Is Moving

Posted By Dustin on July 12, 2008

This just in from Orangestone Promotions:

Pittsburgh, -- Orangestone Promotions, Inc., Promoters of Pennsylvania?s Largest Toy and Pop Culture Convention, the Steel City Con (http://www.steelcitycon.com) has announced that they have located a new home for the their convention after they were told that the Pittsburgh Expomart was being turned over to a third party that has no interest in hosting shows of any kind. This third party will be converting the Expomart to office space and will begin full ownership in October of this year. Promoter Dominic Alessandria noted that ?while this recent news is disappointing we are looking forward to our last show in Monroeville which will be July 26-27, 2008?. Mr. Alessandria goes on to state that ? this opportunity to find a new venue for the Steel City Con has given us a unique opportunity to make significant changes which will substantially increase the rapid growth of the Steel City Con.? Orangestone Promotions, Inc. plans a massive growth plan that will include new events and promotions with more than double the space they have used in past shows. While noting that Orangestone is proud to operate Pennsylvania?s Largest Toy and pop Culture convention, this aggressive move will put them near the top in the nation.

The Steel City Con has promised to get it?s fans details about it?s new venue in the weeks to come but wants to stress the importance of this last show in the Expomart. After 19 years of toy shows turnout is expected to be at it?s heaviest

Are you tired of paying big bucks just to walk in to a big show? The Steel City Con is by far one of the most reasonably priced conventions of this type for both attendees and for dealers. Promoters of the Steel City Con strongly believe that if Vendor space is offered at a very low price then dealers will be able to sell their items to our attendees for much less than conventions that charge a huge amount of money for dealer space. General Admission for attendees is only $7 and available dealer space is only $75 per table.
