Whether the panel be about Star Wars: The Clone Wars, feature someone related to Star Wars (Bonnie Burton, we're looking at you) or the panel simply include a subject that's in our wheel house, here's a daily breakdown of San Diego Comic Con panels that may be of interest to a Star Wars fan. Creative director David Nakabayashi and the art directors of ILM -- Christian Alzmann (Cowboys & Aliens, The Last Airbender), Yanick Dusseault (Star Trek 2, The Avengers), Alex Jaeger (Pacific Rim, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen) and Aaron McBride (Noah, Battleship) -- discuss the legacy of ILM's first art director, Ralph McQuarrie. The team will also cover some of the most memorable moments to come through their department during the company's history, spanning over 35 years and more than 350 films.

The Future of Star Wars Publishing: Dark Horse & Del Rey

Find out what's coming up in the Expanded Universe of Star Wars publishing. Editors Randy Stradley and Dave Marshall from Dark Horse Comics discuss what's next for Agent of the Empire, Dawn of the Jedi, Lost Tribe of the Sith, and Darth Maul, as well as reveal a new secret title that's on the horizon. From Del Rey Books editors Frank Parisi and Erich Schoeneweiss, along with author Troy Denning (Apocalypse), look at new novels coming later this year from fan-favorite authors Timothy Zahn and Aaron Allston, as well as give a peek into 2013. Also on the panel is Jennifer Heddle, senior editor at LucasBooks. Moderated by author Pablo Hidalgo (Star Wars: The Essential Reader's Companion).

International Association of Media Tie-in Writers: Scribe Awards

Max Allan Collins (Mike Hammer), co-founder of the IAMTW, will announce the winners of this year's Scribe Awards for excellence in tie-in writing. He will be joined by this year's Grandmaster Award "Faust" winner, Kevin J. Anderson (Dune), Stacia Deutsch (Batman), Glenn Hauman (Star Trek), Jeff Mariotte (CSI), Deborah Lynn Smith (Dark Shadows), and Dayton Ward (Star Trek) for a freewheeling look at one of the most popular and yet underappreciated branches of the writing trade. Followed by a Q&A session.

Blade Runner 30th Anniversary Celebration

In 1982, Blade Runner, director Ridley Scott's classic adaptation of SF master Philip K. Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? was released to theaters and forever changed the face of cinematic science fiction. Filmmaker, BR expert, and acclaimed author Paul M. Sammon (Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner) hosts a 30th anniversary celebration of this influential masterpiece. Sammon (who was present throughout BR's filming and met Philip K.
