UGO.com has gone and listed the top 50 best and worst Star Wars characters from the Expanded Universe.

CJ.N makes a good point with mentioning that though TFU looks fantastic, it's odd to have the #1 character be from a game that has yet to come out. Enjoy the list all the same though.
