Star Wars At Baltimore Comic-Con Posted By Jay on September 25, 2008
The Baltimore Comic-Con, now in its ninth year, is a staple of Fall in Maryland. If you want to get up close and personal with talent in the industry, this a great opportunity to do so, in a more intimate space than San Diego or New York.
This year, Star Wars will be well represented. You can of course stop by the Dark Horse booth (be sure to tell them Jovial Jay sent you) which should have some sort of freebie. But also be sure to stop by and see some of the artists and writers that have worked on Star Wars comics since the Marvel era, including: Adam Hughes (cover artist Legacy, Celebration artist), Howard Chaykin (Marvel Star Wars), Michael Golden (Marvel Star Wars), Phil Noto (Star Wars Sketch Cards & Celebration artist), Pop Mhan (Jedi Quest), Ron Marz (writer Empire, Darth Maul, Tales), Tim Truman (artist Star Wars ongoing), & Walt Simonson (Marvel Star Wars).
Also scheduled to appear this year are fan favorites Bernie Wrightson, Brian Bendis, Jim Lee and Mike Mignola. The event is held at the Baltimore Convention Center, Saturday, Sept. 27 10am-6pm and Sunday, Sept. 28 10am-5pm. Admission is $15 for one day, or $25 for both.
