Today Boba Fett, is dead! Or is he? Check out the new Blood Ties series, plus the endings of two other great series and a new Trade!
Today starts the newest mini series by writer Tom Taylor (be sure to check out our interview here!), Blood Ties–Boba Fett Is Dead #1. The second chapter in the Blood Ties series, Boba Fett is Dead is a story about...well, Boba Fett. Being, dead! But when members of the team that killed Fett are themselves picked off one by one, Connor Freeman - the son of one of Jango Fett's clones - gets pulled into the action in a most unexpected way! Also be on the lookout for the David Palumbo variant cover, seen above. Chris Scalf rejoins Taylor for this 5 issue mini-series.
Ending this week is much loved (and quickly over) Crimson Empire III #6. Based on the cover, it looks like Kir Kanos is leaving the Royal Guard forever? How will the Empire splinter-group survive without him? What about Mirith Sinn and the New Republic? Look for answers in what promises to be the final issue in a trilogy of Star Wars goodness! Mike Richardson and Paul Gulacy complete this long awaited saga.
Also ending is the phenomenal Dark Times-Out of the Wilderness series. This, is hands down the best issue of the entire run. Period! How does Dass Jenir survive the cliffhanger from last issue? And what are the fates of Ember? Falco Sang? And does Darth Vader finally catch up with our errant Jedi? You're going to have to pick this one up to find out. Randy Stradley and Celebration VI artist Doug Wheatley present a contender for best book of the year!
Finally, Tom Taylor fans get a second dose of him this week with the release of the trade paperback version of Invasion-Revelations. Every 22 pages a revelation comes out of nowhere in this fun series, following Finn Galfridian and the New Republic during the turmoil of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. Colin Wilson provides the interior art of this reprint of Invasion-Revelations #1-5.
