Luke recalls an adventure a year before the Battle of Yavin: At the farwell party for Biggs, Luke and his friends race Beggar's Canyon where Biggs wins with moves of great skill. As Luke dreams of being a pilot, the group is attacked by Tuskin Raiders. Biggs is hurt and Luke becomes the first to fly through Diablo's Cut in order to get him to a medic.
