R2-D2 and C-3P0 escape Princess Leia's ship which is under attack by Darth Vader's Imperial Star Destroyer. On the planet below, Biggs Darklighter tells Luke Skywalker that he's joining a rebellion. Although jealous, Luke remains home and helps his uncle purchase R2 and 3P0 who were captured by Jawas. R2 runs away and Luke is attacked by Sandpeople trying to retrieve him.
