Chu came from one of the most respected families in the Jawa clans. Unfortunately, his parents were killed in a sandstorm some time ago, leaving only him and his older bother, Waddum Kaun, to carry on the family name. But the brothers had a falling out, and after their parents deaths, Kaun left and joined another clan. As Chu got older, Purvis was able to see the leadership and respect that he command from others in the clan. Purvis putting Chu third in command was one of the few decisions that Stin Kinhepe agreed without an arguement. Waddum Chu looks up to both of them with the utmost respect. After the clan was almost wiped out by the Empire, Stin Kinhepe, promoted Chu to second in command. Waddum Chu has agreed to join Stin Kinhepe in his efforts to fight the Empire.
