Suvudu's New "Gateway" Series For EU Newcomers

The Del Rey Star Wars team is launching a new series of posts on Suvudu that will guide fans who are looking to jump into the Expanded Universe. There are a lot of great books out there, but only some of them can serve as universally-approachable "gateway" novels. Suvudu's new series will be a resource for people who have never read a Star Wars book before and are looking for somewhere to start. The posts will be written by yours truly and will feature brand new artwork inspired by each novel.

Today, in honor of Star Wars Day, I published the first post in the series. This post focuses on Aaron Allston's X-Wing: Wraith Squadron, which is the perfect book to read if you want to get ready for Allston's next Star Wars novel, Mercy Kill. To go along with my write-up, artist Chris Scalf illustrated a scene from the book's first chapter, which involves Rogue and Red Squadrons putting on a crowd-pleasing aerial show above Coruscant.
