Interesting SW-Themed Novel On Amazon

Star Wars fan Tripp Millican wrote a Star Wars-themed fictional novel titled The Rebel Alliance and the Kindle version can be purchased today on Amazon for free. Check out the synopsis below and then follow the link to get a copy of your own.

"Obsessive Star Wars collector Dennis Harwell receives the worst phone call of his life on a Tuesday night ? his parents have been killed in an automobile accident. Dennis lives in his childhood home outside of Lafayette, Indiana, and now must travel to Colma, California, where the only two people he cares about will be buried in a matter of days.

Reluctant to confront his loss, Dennis embarks on a three-day bus trip to California. He refuses to travel without his cat, R2-D2, and so he smuggles her on board in a cardboard box. Ten hours into the journey, the cat bites Star, the brash young woman sitting behind Dennis. Star causes a scene; Dennis, Star and R2-D2 are kicked off the bus in the tiny town of Walnut, Iowa, hours from anywhere.

It?s evening and Dennis has little money, no credit card and less than three days to travel 1,700 miles in time to say good-bye to his parents.

Worse, Dennis is clueless and overwhelmed; he is stranded and alone in the middle of nowhere with only his Star Wars minutiae to keep him company. Dennis attempts to befriend Star, but she refuses to tell him the truth about herself ? except that she is on the lam. Mere hours later, the pair are mugged and Dennis, scared out of his mind, practically gives the attackers his cellphone and wallet.

Stuck in Walnut with no money and no phone with his cat and an anarchist punk rocker as traveling companions, Dennis must figure out how to escape before Star?s reckless behavior gets them arrested. He is ineffective and she is a fugitive, but the pair must work together if they are going to escape from rural Iowa."
